12 Awesome Playground LTM Creations From Fortnite's V4.5 Update
What will be built next?
With just a few hours since release, Fortnite players have already constructed a number of different creations in the new Playground limited time mode.
The new mode gives players one full hour to run around the entire map with just yourself or a squad with the freedom to do just about anything you want. While server issues forced Epic to temporarily disable the mode, the small window of time allowed fans to build whatever they desired and we've rounded up 12 of the most impressive constructions made in just a few mere hours.
Building the Next Great Pyramid
A group of players just recently covered Wailing Woods with a giant pyramid that took several attempts to complete. That said, it's no match for Reddit user RedLazerSwan who spent an hour and over 40,000 materials creating this behemoth of a pyramid.
Crumbling Diamond
Some people just want to see the world burn, and in this case, Twitter user @SaltyGamer88 created a huge diamond only to break its only leg of support and watch as each piece disintegrates.
Shopping Cart Adventure
Shopping Carts have come and gone as they've been constantly removed and brought back since their release last month and their current availability allowed Reddit user TheSnipenieer to fly quite the distance using ramps and Bounce Pads. You can see the full video here.
The Original Dusty Depot
It's hard to say anyone misses Dusty Depot, but a cool throwback is always appreciated. Twitter user @AccurateGames not only filled in the giant crater (sound familiar?) but also recreated one of the old storage hangars.
Goodybe, Loot Lake
Fortnite players seem to have a thing with covering up holes and craters as Twitter user @Serana_xo took the time to cover every inch of Loot Lake, a task not made for the weak. You can see the full video here.
Attempting to Cover the Entire Map
YouTube user ViLe FreT joined up with friends to attempt the daunting task of covering the entire map with building. While the project was not even close to completion, the result was still an impressive feat.
A Castle in the Woods
Need a way to fend off enemies? Reddit user Nick2700 created an elegant and intricate castle that would send opponents running in the opposite direction.
Begone, Rocket!
Whether it was all the meteor speculation or the current rocket theories, Titled Towers has been a target of potential demolition since it was introduced to the map a few months back. To protect the poor town, Twitter user @willo_Jules built a massive dome to keep unwanted destruction out.
Chain Reaction
If you are one of the cruel Fortnite players that want to see Tilted Towers flattened, Reddit user Vercyx used a chain reaction to destroy a path that was supporting each building in town. You can see the full video here.
A Familiar House
Creations like this make you wonder why there aren't more fort structures on the map from the start. YouTube user Gattu recreated the White House and is the first of what is hopefully many more recreations.
Actually Making a Fort
Sometimes the simpler things are the most interesting. Reddit user JonnyHarb created a ten-story fort complete with a giant wall blocking out the nearby canyon. You can see the full video here.
Perpetual Motion
Boost Pads can be an incredible tool when you used appropriately. Here, YouTube user Petr Vnenk found it best to send friends bouncing in an infinite loop.
The Playground limited time mode will only be available for a short time but many more amazing creations are still to come. Show off your own creations or suggest ideas of what to build next in the comments!
Dual Pistols were added along with the Playground LTM in today's v4.5 update patch. A release date for Fortnite: Season 5 and a 100% XP Weekend were also announced.
