In an effort to change loot drops in Anthem for the better, BioWare has officially increased the rate of masterwork and legendary drops.

In a post on the official Anthem Reddit, global community lead Andrew Johnson announced that an update has gone live that increases masterwork and legendary drop rates for grandmaster 2 and grandmaster 3 difficulty levels. These drop rates have also been increased for harder enemies at all difficulty levels, including the Legendary Titan, Epic Titan, Legendary Fury, Legendary Acid Ursix and Legendary Luminary Elder. As this is a server-side update, no downloads or patches will be necessary to see these changes take hold.

In comments below the post, Johnson described the increased drop rate as “pretty significant,” and confirmed that these changes will take effect in all activities (including strongholds) in grandmaster 2 and 3.

This is one of the incremental loot updates that will continue coming to Anthem, though BioWare will also be making more “significant changes” to the loot systems in the coming months. A previous loot update removed uncommon (white) and common (green) items from level 30 drop tables.
