Operation Grand Heist is a free update and will offer content across all playable modes: multiplayer, Blackout and Zombies. A new female specialist, the Outrider, will be released and more playable areas in the Blackout map will launch.

The update is comprised of a 1970's style heist theme, and brings with it immense types of personalization, including new vehicles and accessories.

The new specialist, Outrider, who was previously in Black Ops 3, will make her debut in the update – known for her stealth precision using the Sparrow, a, explosive longbow, to take out enemies.

Blackout's newest location, Ghost Town, will feature two areas. One is inspired by the classic multiplayer map in Black Ops 2, Standoff, which is best for medium and long-range combat.

Secondly, players can go underground to new caves that were inspired by the Black Ops 2 Zombies map, Buried – where heavy gear will be hidden and zombies will be found crawling around.

A new mode for Blackout, called Hot Pursuit, will launch on Feb. 22 on PS4 and is a fast-paced mode with three new vehicles – a muscle car, SUV, and PBR assault boat. Squads race to supply drops that contain armor, weapons, and grenades at high-levels to try and eliminate one another's teams.

Mark Gordon, Co-Studio Head at Treyarch said one of their main focuses is to keep creating new content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 so the game stays fresh.

"One of our favorite things at the studio is creating new ways for the community to play. We set out since day one to support Black Ops 4 long after launch, so we’re delivering a ton of new ways for players to engage with each mode of the game and we’re committed to giving fans new reasons to keep coming back week in and week out."

The Black Market will have new gear including weapon camos, outfits and accessories that are themed specifically for Operation Grand Heist.

A new round-based Gauntlet challenge mode will be available for Zombies, and a new perk called the Ethereal Razor, which will help increase the effects of melee damage and regeneration for the player.

For Black Ops Pass owners, two new multiplayer maps will be available – Casino, which is a medium-sized map that takes place in a casino in Monaco that's filled with luxurious items, surrounded by slot machines and gambling tables, with mid to long-range combat being best for this map.

The second map is Lockup, which is another medium-sized map but is set in a police station in Los Angeles – players will be able to snipe from the roof, as well as closing down areas with operational doors.

The new Zombies experience, Ancient Evil, will release in March for Black Ops Pass owners, but details have not be announced yet.
