Following Battle Of Azeroth Release, World Of Warcraft's Director Will Give The PAX West 2018 Keynote

Blizzard Entertainment's release of the highly anticipated expansion pack for World of Warcraft has created plenty of buzz. In celebration of the new expansion there's also going to be more surprises in store for WoW gamers as the current director of the MMORPG will be at PAX West 2018 to give the keynote speech. This is likely going to be Blizzard's opportunity to steal back the spotlight from Bethesda and id Software, who just recently stole the internet's heart with the new footage of Doom: Eternal, which aired over the weekend during the QuakeCon event in Texas.
In a press release, Blizzard announced that between August 31st, 2018 and September 3rd, 2018 Ion Hazzikostas, the game director at Blizzard Entertainment working on World of Warcraft, will host the keynote speech at PAX West 2018.
According to the press release, Hazzikostas will talk about his journey through Blizzard leading up to his promotion to game director on one of the biggest games in the history of all of gaming. Hazzikostas originally got his start at Blizzard as a raid designer and class balance engineer for Wrath of the Lich King, and eventually found his way up the ladder until he became game director in 2016. He's now leading the development of Battle for Azeroth, which launches on August 14th on PC.
Many gamers in attendance at PAX are expected to learn more about the design culture at Blizzard, as well as some info about the development of _Battle For Azeroth. _
That won't be the only highlighted topic at this year's event set to take place in Seattle, Washington. PAX West will also play host to panels for Devil May Cry 5 along with a look at BioWare's_Anthem, and the highly popular game from Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment, _Life is Strange 2. Gamers who are fascinated with the design elements behind these games can learn a little bit more at PAX West.
This is all in addition to other publishers and exhibitors being on hand to demonstrate and promote their own games.
As for Battle for Azeroth... the expansion for World of Warcraft is designed to introduce a number of new features to the MMO, including a raised level cap, all new raid dungeons, an all new 20-player PvE mode, and all new islands to explore with PvEvP features, which is mirrored after the Mists of Pandaria expansion.
Some all new PvP options and elements have also been added, making it easier for gamers to choose when to engage in world PvP and when to avoid it.
You'll be able to learn a lot more about the Battle for Azeroth in person if you plan on attending PAX West to hear Hazzikostas' keynote address by picking up badges to attend the event for $50. You can register to purchase the tickets over on the PAX West website, but supplies are obviously limited. PAX West is set to take place at the end of the month.
