Sports Interactive has announced a few new additions and changes, the biggest one being the acquisition of the DFL Bundesliga license for the first time in the history of the series. The iconic 'Manager Man' who has traditionally graced the cover of every game since 2005 has also been relegated to the dusty recesses of our memory, and is being replaced with "a manager’s eye view of the pitch as the gaffer and players head down the tunnel ahead of a big match." The logo has also gotten a revamp.

Within two hours of being announced, Football Manager 2019's director, Miles Jacobson tweeted that the game was at no.3 on the Steam charts, which is quite a feat considering that none of the title's new features will be revealed until the end of September.

Fans who pre-purchase digitally or pre-order at participating retailers will get a 10% discount right the way up until launch, with those who opt to go digital able to dive into the beta, currently scheduled for two weeks prior to release.

Football Manager 19 will launch on November 2, alongside Football Manager 2019 Touch for PC, Mac, iOS and Android, and Football Manager 2019 Mobile for iOS and Android.
