Following the now-famous coffee cup that appeared in episode 4 of Game of Thrones' final cut, the episode has since been updated and the coffee cup has been digitally removed from the scene, according to The Verge.

The episode update is reported to have occurred sometime during overnight hours in the US, which HBO did confirm was a mistake, but quietly switched out the episode.

HBO's response to the error was made in a humorous fashion, saying, "The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea."

Despite fans assuming the cup was from Starbucks, The Wall Street Journal confirmed late Monday that the cup was in fact from the production's craft services – although Starbucks still tweeted about the mistake which received 55k likes, saying, "TBH we're surprised she didn't order a Dragon Drink."

Executive Producer on Game of Thrones, Bernie Caulfield, commented that these errors do happen at times and, "If that’s the worst thing they’re finding, then we’re in good shape."
