Gmail’s Redesign Is Rolling Out To All Android Users
Earlier this year Google announced that they would be launching a new design for its Gmail app on mobile devices. For those who have been anticipating the update, you’ll be pleased to learn that Google has confirmed to Engadget that the update is now being rolled out to all Android users as we speak.
As for iOS users, Google claims that the update should be making its way to them by the end of the week as well, so not to worry. The update will introduce an updated Material Design to the app, where as you can see in the image above, it will result in a much whiter and brighter design.
It also looks a lot cleaner than the current design, so if you like what you see, then this update is worth looking forward to. It is unclear if this design update will also include new features. Previously it was reported that Google could be looking to port some Inbox features over to Gmail. Inbox is expected to be shut down this year, but Google could be looking to salvage some of the platform’s more useful features and bring it to Gmail, but like we said, it is unclear if this will be part of the upcoming update.
