Life Is Strange 2: Episode 1 Gets a Release Date
More information in August.
Life Is Strange will begin its second season on September 27, with the first episode coming to PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Announced on Twitter, the sequel will again comprise 5 episodes. A teaser trailer shows the announcement being sewn across a tattered backpack, but it looks like we won't see the significance of that image until August, when developer Dontnod says we'll get more information.
A free game set in the same universe, The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit will be released for free on June 26. While it's a self-contained story, Dontnod describes it as a "narrative experience demo" for Life Is Strange 2, and some choices made in it will affect the sequel.
We came away with mixed feelings on the original Life Is Strange series, but it was absolutely a hit, hitting 3 million sales over its five episodes, and getting commissioned as a TV show.
