New Kingdom Hearts III Trailer Includes Big Hero 6

Years ago, at a game convention long ago and far away, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts III was in development and coming to a home console near you. Every single year that passed gamers assumed that the following year would finally be the year that the game released, but alas, it was not meant to be. Finally, after waiting five years and a handful of E3s later, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts III would be released in early 2019. Square has been slowly unveiling new content, stages, characters, and story elements for the action-oriented JRPG for the PS4 and Xbox One, and the newest Tokyo Game Show trailer revels in the inclusion of the characters from the popular Disney film Big Hero 6.
The trailer is a minute and a half long, and is labeled as the "short version". So I'm assuming that Square will later reveal a longer version of the trailer, similar to how the company had short and longer versions of the Final Fantasy XV trailers that were promoted throughout the years.
The trailer starts with a saying about hearts being driven by one purpose before it transitions into a cinematic involving Sora, Goofy, and Donald on San Fransokyo's's own San Fransokyo Bridge. During a battle sequence, we then get introduced to Baymax from Big Hero 6, who introduces himself to the trio. It's all in Japanese but it's pretty obvious what's being said. We then get a short montage of clips featuring the other team members from Big Hero 6, along with a short look at the characters from Tangled before it rounds out with a look at a few of the mini-games and more cinematics.
It's hard to tell how much of the world of Big Hero 6 will be explorable in Kingdom Hearts III, but we do see that Baymax will join players across more than just the San Fransokyo Bridge. You'll be able to explore parts of the city and battle foes across rooftops as well. The game definitely has a more hack-and-slash feel in the Big Hero 6 segments that seem reminiscent of a super-hero game like Marvel's Spider-Man.
The city also features both day and night segments. It's unlikely that it has real-time day and night transitions due to the amount of time required to make that a viable, worthwhile feature, but it definitely seems like you'll have a lot of access to different environments to explore.
One other thing worth pointing out is that near the end of the trailer there's a space segment where players are flying past asteroids and collecting crystals in space. It looks a lot like something inspired by Star Fox, complete with several large-scale boss fights, including a giant space castle that fires out mega-lasers.
Strangely there are no hints about Big Hero 6 over on the English version of the Kingdom Hearts III website, but I imagine Square will update the site soon.
