Nintendo Switch Update Allows Save Game Transfers Between Systems

Nintendo Switch's most recent update as of Tuesday, April 16, version 8.0.0 comes with multiple new options, as reported by Eurogamer.

It adds the option for players to transfer save data from their games on one Nintendo Switch system to another, which would be a helpful addition if Nintendo releases the rumored new Switch models sometime this year.

Players would be able to take data from any game they played on the Switch, such as Super Mario Odyssey or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, to any new system.

A method of sorting games in a player's library is also included in the update, giving the ability to sort by game title, last played game, publisher, and total time played.

A zoom option for accessibility, prevention of waking the system while plugging it in, being able to set your region, and restrictions for VR in the parental controls are among other new additions in the update.

15 new avatar icons from Yoshi's Crafted World and Splatoon 2 have also been added.

The version 8.0.0 update should download automatically, but can be manually updated in the system settings if necessary.
