Seth Rogen Reveals Hilarious Way He Discovered A Little Known Trick In Nintendo's Duck Hunt
2 hours ago
Admitting he's more than two decades late to the party, Seth Rogen has taken to social media to share a not-so-hot tip about the NES classic, Duck Hunt. As you might have guessed, considering it's Seth Rogen, he learned about the game's little-known second player features courtesy of his butt.
Me and my sister found this out because I sat on the controller by accident and the duck kept flying to the top right corner.

I know there are plenty of folks out there who will push up their glasses and say "who didn't know that?" And the answer is that a lot of folks were actually in the dark on this one. I'm not too proud to admit that I was only made aware of the fact that the second player could control the ducks in Duck Hunt sometime in the past decade. Not trying to be vague, but I just genuinely don't recall exactly when this little bit of nostalgic gaming info was dropped on me. What I do remember, though, was the feeling of having my mind blown by the revelation.
What's endearing here are the fine details. I mean, of course Seth Rogen learned about the ability to control the ducks because he was sitting on the controller. Then again, the more I think about it, the more this news angers me. My brother and I loved Duck Hunt, but I can't help but wonder how much more fun (and resulting sibling violence) we would have had if we had known the second player could actually control the ducks. It's one of those things that was probably listed in the game manual but, back in the day, who actually read those things? We were there to play games, dammit, not read.
The tweets have already gained quite a bit of attention, earning nearly 25,000 likes and 2,500 retweets between them. Also worth noting are the 1,000-plus comments. One of the first comes from Twitter Gaming, which apparently wants to hang out with Rogen to share additional tips about NES gaming. Many folks are teasing Rogen for this super timely news 25 years after the fact, though he points out in his first tweet that Twitter didn't exist back then, so pump the breaks. And then, of course, there are hordes of people who are just hearing about this and, I'm guessing, having their entire lives change for the better.
Given the reactions, now I kind of want to see Rogen do a recurring thing where he drops some super-old knowledge on the unsuspecting masses. For instance, did you know that Barbie's actual name is Barbara Millicent Roberts? How about the fact that the Suicide King in a deck of cards is the only one without a mustache? Were you aware that chocolate milk was originally thought to have medicinal qualities? Sure, those have nothing to do with video games but, still, it's important info we should all be made aware of.
And, in case you're looking to get in some classic NES gaming, don't forget that a collection of 20 games is one of the perks for joining Switch Online once it goes live this week.
