Apple has unveiled the iPhone XS, along with the iPhone XS Max, which is the bigger version of the iPhone XS. Both phones are due to release on Friday, 21st of September and will be available to preorder from Friday, 14th of September. Apple also announced that it will be releasing an alternative to the XS named the iPhone XR, though you'll be waiting until Friday, 26th of October to get your hands on it.

iPhone XS and XS Max Prices, Colours and Storage

The colour variants for both the Apple iPhone XS and XS Max are Gold, Space Grey and Silver and are all available in either 64GB, 256GB or 512GB models. The iPhone XS price starts at £999, £1,149 and £1,349, while the iPhone XS Max price starts at £1,099, £1,249 and £1,449 respectively.

Best iPhone XS 64GB Contract Deals

By far the best contract deal for the iPhone XS available on the market right now, and you don't even have to pay anything today! This deal also benefits from £240 cashback which will reduce the standard monthly line rental by £10.00 per month when divided over the 24 month term of the network contract.

Cashback is claimable by installments in months 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 and instructions on how to claim will be provided with your order.

You'll have to pay £275 today for this deal, but £46 per month for 24 months thereafter to receive a massive 30GB of data on the O2 network, and your usual unlimited minutes and texts. To put this deal in perspective, I rarely see mobile phone contracts for new luxury phones with this much data going for less than £50 per month and the £275 upfront cost can be put down to the exclusivity of a new iPhone.

You may be paying a lot more per month than you are on the deal above, but the upfront cost is a lot more easier to cough up. Not only that but you'll be getting an extra 20 gigs of data and you'll be on the EE network who are widely recognised as the fastest 4G network in the UK and their contract deals come with additional bonuses such as free EU roaming, 6 months free Apple Music and 3 months free BT Sport.

This is the best deal I've found for those of you who are data-hungry. You'll get a massive 100 gigs worth of data to stream, download and hotspot whenever you want.

Best iPhone XS Max 64GB Contract Deals

Unfortunately, I'm not seeing many deals that have no upfront cost for the iPhone XS Max. I've gathered what I feel are the best ones, but they all have hefty upfront costs; something I expected. For this deal, which is the best one right now for the Max, you'll have to pay £300 today but receive a massive 30 gigs of data and will only be paying £51 per month thereafter .

The best high-data plan for the Apple iPhone XS Max comes from Direct Mobiles. The upfront cost is marginally less than the above deal and you'll also get 50GB on the EE network, but you'll be paying a £12 more per month. Nevertheless, this seems like the best deal to get for the Max if you're wanting a lot of data.

I know this has a £630 upfront cost, but think about it for a minute. The total cost for this contract deal is £1,182 over 24 months and gets put into perspective when you compare that to the SIM-free cost of the iPhone XS Max which is £1,099. That means you'll only be paying £83 over 24 months (that's £3.46 per month) for 1 gig of data, unlimited minutes and texts on the Vodafone network. Suddenly not such a bad deal...
