The PlayStation Store Is Running A Blockbuster Sale
1 hour ago
With summer coming to a close and the crowded fall season about to kick off, the PlayStation camp is aiming to beef up your backlog with a rather sizable "Attack of the Blockbuster Sale." Expect big savings on loads of games, with deeper discounts offered for many titles if you also happen to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
Each summer, the PlayStation Store plays host to a big Blockbuster sale, offering deep discounts on big hits from the past several years. This year's sale includes 200 entries, though that number is a bit off since some games are being made available in multiple bundles/editions. You can get the regular edition of The Witcher 3 for $23.99, for instance, or the Complete Edition for $24.99. That seems like a pretty obvious choice to me, but you do you. And in case you already have the base came, you can find the season pass or individual pieces of DLC on sale as well.
Just about every major hit for the PlayStation 4 is present and accounted for, beginning with the launch title, Killzone Shadow Fall, for a paltry $4.99.
If you're looking to catch up on the Metro series before the next entry drops in 2019, then you can grab the upgraded Redux version of the original Metro or Last Light for $6.99 apiece, or a bundle of the two for just $10.49.
If you're looking for something spooky to play leading into Halloween, the excellent Alien: Isolation can be yours for $11.99 while Until Dawn can be snagged for $5.99. Or, if you'd rather catch up on your Call of Duty lore, a whole bunch of series entries and DLC are available as well.
You adventurers in the crowd will likely want to check out Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, which offers three remastered PS3 games for $9.99, or Uncharted 4 by itself for $11.99. In that same camp and just in time for the latest game in the series are the new Tomb Raider games.
If you grabbed Mafia III as a PlayStation Plus game this month, then you might be tempted by the game's Season Pass for DLC, which is now set to a price of just $17.99. Resident Evil VII also makes the cut, along with various individual and bundled DLC.
One of my favorite games of last year was the underappreciated Gravity Rush 2, which is on sale for just $14.99 as part of the sale. You can also pick up Persona 5 for $34.99 or WWE 2K18 for $23.99.
Again, this is only a sampling of the discounts available through the sale, and the selections can be organized by launch date, price, full games versus DLC, etc. If there's something you're in the market for, it's certainly worth a look. And since there's no additional information attached to the sale just yet, you might want to act quickly. No telling when these savings will disappear.
