This Batman Game Perfectly Captures One of the Best Cartoon Shows Ever
The Caped Crusader has grappling hooked onto people's tabletops a few times before, but as we saw at Gen Con 2018, Batman the Animated Series: Gotham Under Siege is really something unique.

In Gotham Under Siege, one to five players take on the roles of Batman and his allies (including Catwoman) to defend Gotham from the machinations of the many villains Batman grapples with. It’s a flavor-filled experience that looks to really capture what made the series one of the best of all time.
You can take an early look at the awesome board and minis here:
The board, miniatures, and graphic design all fit perfectly under the shadow of Batman: The Animated Series’ cowl. With unique features like 3D buildings, a grid of city streets, and scenarios based off of adventures straight from the cartoon, it really demonstrates that developer IDW has treated this game and the license behind it with immense care.
All of the card art uses shots from the TV show as well, making the whole thing a great big box of nostalgia. It really helps that the minis perfectly recreate the style of the characters as they are in the show. What’s better than seeing a 3D version of a 2D Batman jumping around little boxy buildings?
Batman the Animated Series: Gotham Under Siege will be releasing later this year and you can pre-order it here. For more of our coverage from Gen Con 2018, check out IGN's tabletop page, where you can see everything from the show and more.
