This Star Wars Game is Getting a Ludicrously Big Super Star Destroyer Figure
One of the largest ships in the Star Wars universe is going miniature… barely. During Fantasy Flight Games’ Gen Con 2018 preview night, the publisher revealed the almost comically-large Super Star Destroyer miniature for its epic space battles game, Star Wars: Armada.

Carrying out a replica of the daunting ship nearly as long as the presenter’s arm, Fantasy Flight explained that this was the largest model the publisher has ever produced.
Take a close-up look at this behemoth in the slideshow below:
For context, a regular ship in Armada is usually only about an inch big, with the larger ships being between six and ten inches long at the very most. The Super Star Destroyer looks to be maybe about two feet long.
As such, the model will come with new rules to support such a dominating figure on the galactic battlefield. But amazingly, it will still be playable in Armada’s standard format. It was quite a sight to behold up close but in the end, I'm still very sad that they wouldn't let me pick it up and fly it around making silly sounds.
The Super Star Destroyer Expansion Pack will release Q1 of 2019 with a proportionally large price of $200 and is not yet available for pre-order, but you can find the original Star Wars: Armada base game here.
Fantasy Flight also revealed a brand new 1v1 card game from the creator of Magic: The Gathering, as well as Clone Wars expansions for two of its other Star Wars games.
