This XFX Radeon RX 580 is on sale for $230, significantly cheaper than rival graphics cards
Another Radeon deal is teasing us as we wait for the final thaw of the great graphics card crisis. The XFX GTS XXX Edition of the 4GB Radeon RX 580 is $230 on Amazon right now. The price dropped on Tuesday, and there’s no clear end date for the deal.
Prior to the price drop this card was sitting around $270, and checking Newegg, other RX 580 cards start at $260. Nvidia's rival 6GB GeForce GTX 1060 cards start around $290.
The XFX RX 580 features a base clock of 1,366MHz and a boost clock of 1,386MHz. It also has 4GB of GDDR5 memory and ports galore, including one DVI-D, one HDMI, and three DisplayPorts.
This card is slightly faster on paper than the $210 Asus 4GB Radeon RX 580 deal we saw at Newegg in June. You’ll pay a little bit more this time around, but that was a particularly excellent deal where the price dropped as close as we’ve seen to the Radeon RX 580’s original MSRP.
The 4GB Radeon RX 580 pumps out great 1080p performance and pretty good 1440p gaming (though if you always play at 1440p resolution you should probably level up to the 8GB RX 580). It’s also capable of playing virtual reality games.
