Twitch streamers who love to sing along to songs with their viewers soon have a more robust option for doing so, and interested streamers can register to try it out right now.

Created in partnership with Rock Band studio Harmonix, Twitch Sings is a dedicated app that lets streamers play a karaoke game with their viewers. While streamers sing songs, their viewers can use special chat options to start "light shows" on their virtual stage as well as propose different challenges.

The viewers can also use the chat to request the next song a streamer will have to sing. There will be "hundreds" of songs available to choose from, according to Twitch, which should keep streams from getting stale too quickly.
Those curious to try the beta of Twitch Sings can sign up on the official website right now -- all you need to give is your name, Twitch username, email address, and preferred platform. The game will support Windows and iOS later in 2018, with Android support also coming in the future.
Along with the Twitch Sings announcement, the company revealed the success its had with its Twitch Rivals events. 55 of these events have been hosted to date, and those who participate receive an average of 20 percent more viewers compared to other days. The competitions have given out over $5 million in prize money thus far, with the Fortnite Summer Skirmish alone awarding $2 million. 128 events are planned for next year.
