Prepare to set sail... on consoles.

World of Warships: Legends is officially coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2019, with an Alpha test coming this July.

Developed by Wargaming St. Petersburg, World of Warships was previously exclusive to PC and Mac and originally released back in 2015.

The naval MMO console port will come with updates received by the initial versions, but it will also contain content and features exclusive to console users. This exclusive content has yet to be revealed.

An Alpha Test for the game is planned to start in July and is open to players worldwide with knowledge of the English language. More information about the Alpha and the game itself will be revealed at Gamescom 2018. Players can apply for the Alpha through the game's official website.

Wargaming is best known for their famous World of Tanks sub-series, and now they're bringing this updated free-to-play, MMO, naval action simulator to consoles next year.

In our original World of Warships review, we said "When it all comes together around two competent teams working together, World of Warships is a glorious pre-World War 2 admiralty fantasy come to life."
